Recently I’ve become obsessed with interested in viewing vintage live performances of pop music on youtube. My favorites are from the Burt Sugarman’s Midnight Special. I must have been too young to see them live (b. 1970), does anyone know if they were really on at midnight?? Anyway, this is one of my top 5 – Toni Tenille can really rock ‘I will’, love that ‘whateveh’ and my mom totally had that haircut!
Whoo-hoo! Cute blog!
Oh my goodness, I so totally knew EVERY WORD of that song, how funny is that?
AND I had a Toni Tennille haircut, but the shorter version.
We learned Muskrat Love in 6th grade choir LOL. “Muskrat Susie, muskrat Sam, do the jitterbug down in Muskrat Land…”
Your apron is unbelievably adorable, if your friend’s wife doesn’t like it then something is wrong with her thinker.
Let’s see some more! (btw, what did you use for the front of it…a vintage tea towel, maybe?)

Oh my God, I used to watch that show. I don’t remember when it was on — I was going to say Friday at 1 am but why was it called The Midnight Special then? I’ll ask my sister if she knows when it was on.
I remembered why it was on at 1 am and Wikipedia confirmed it: Johnny Carson came on at 11:30 and ran for an hour and a half in those days.
